Well-being Community Development and Harmony between Generations according to Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, Tambon Khokkhotao Muang District, Suphanburi Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study the situation, needs and potential, a community model for health and happiness for all ages according to the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. and develop community products, create manuals, and create community leaders. Data were collected from 400 questionnaires, 20 people involved in interviews, and 2 focus groups. The obtained quantitative data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The qualitative data was analyzed according to the CIPP model framework before training leaders according to the manual developed by the research team. The results showed that The health condition was 84.95-97.96%, and the way of living according to the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy was 72.96-83.67 percent. As for the community situation and people's needs for developing of a healthy community, the average was at a high level. The well-being community model consists of 4 activities: 1) applying the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in daily life, 2) self-health care, 3) exercise, and 4) healthy food. The activities are as follows: 1) Activities that people can do on their own. 2) Activities that require less time. not a hindrance in occupation; and 3) activities performed if equipment or raw materials are required must be readily available from the community and the researcher has trained more than 60 interested people's leaders through a manual developed to promote the creation of 3 products, namely 1) fresh herbal compress 2) herbal chili paste and 3) Kluay Nam Wa cupcakes (Banana cupcakes).
