Abstract
The objectives of this article are 1) to survey and collect elements of the management approach towards excellence in educational institutions 2) to develop the management approach towards excellence. There are 2 research steps: 1) Survey and collect elements of the management approach to excellence. From the population, 41 people included educational institution administrators. Teachers and educational personnel 2) Development of guidelines From the group of informants, namely educational institution administrators from 3 educational institutions with best practice guidelines, a total of 6 people, a specific selection method was used. Tools used in the research 1) Inquiry 2) interview form 3) form to evaluate the appropriateness and feasibility of the approach. There were 3 experts. Statistics used in data analysis were percentages, arithmetic mean and standard deviation. The results of the research found that Components of the management approach to excellence and the results of developing the approach to excellence include a total of 12 approaches, 26 approaches, including 1) the aspect of leading the organization with a vision, 5 items, 2) the aspect of management in giving importance to learners. 4 items 3) Agility 3 items 4) Future focus 1 item 5) Management for innovation 2 items 6) Management using real data 2 items 7) Social responsibility of educational institutions 2 items 8 ) Organizational aspect 1 Item 9) Academic achievement and development level of students 1 Item 10) Teaching and learning management aspect 22 Item 11) Focusing on individuals and partners 1 Item 12) Perspective aspect Systematic, 2 items, with the results of the evaluation of suitability and overall feasibility being at the highest level
