Legal measures for employing older workers

Abstract

This article aims to study the theoretical concepts, research results, factual issues and legal issues related to legal measures of Thailand and other countries related to legal measures for the employment of elderly workers to be used as a suggestion to amend the law to make it more effective, legal measures for hiring elderly workers The research results found that the problem of using labor is that there is no law that defines the term “elderly labor”, making it impossible to know what elderly labor means The absence of laws protecting the work description or working days results in problems of using older workers in different age groups or physical or mental conditions or genders of older workers Therefore, it is recommended that the name of the law be changed from the Older Persons Act B.E. 2546 to the "Draft of the Older Persons and National Basic Pension Act B.E. 2546", including a clear definition of the term "older-aged workers".
