“ใผได้ ดมดอกเอื้อง ดวงด้วโสกกอหาย”: วรรณศิลป์และความสำคัญของบทพรรณนาธรรมชาติ ในเรื่องอินเหนาฉบับลาว

Abstract

บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษาการสร้างวรรณศิลป์ และความสำคัญของบทพรรณนาธรรมชาติในเรื่องอินเหนาฉบับลาว ซึ่งเป็นบทพรรณนาที่พบมากที่สุด ในเรื่องและปรากฏมากกว่าเรื่องอิเหนาฉบับไทยซึ่งเป็นต้นเค้าที่มาของฉบับลาว ผลการศึกษาพบว่าบทพรรณนาธรรมชาติในเรื่องอินเหนาฉบับลาวนาเสนอได้ อย่างมีวรรณศิลป์งดงาม ได้แก่ การเล่นเสียงสัมผัส การเลือกนาเสนอภาพธรรมชาติอย่างหลากหลาย รวมทั้งการสรรคาและการใช้ความเปรียบเพื่อสื่อภาพ นอกจากนี้ บทพรรณนาธรรมชาติในเรื่องอินเหนาฉบับลาวยังมีบทบาทสำคัญหลายประการ ทั้งความสำคัญต่อการสร้างจินตนาการแก่ผู้อ่านผู้ฟัง การดาเนินเรื่อง การเน้นอารมณ์ความรู้สึกของตัวละคร การนาไปใช้อ่านทำนองลา และการสร้างสีสันความเป็นลาว บทพรรณนาธรรมชาติซึ่งรังสรรค์ขึ้นอย่างมีวรรณศิลป์และมีความสำคัญหลากหลายดังกล่าวนี้เป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญที่ทำให้เรื่องอินเหนาฉบับลาวมีลักษณะเด่นที่แตกต่างไปจากเรื่องอิเหนาฉบับไทยและนิทานปันหยีสำนวนอื่นๆ รวมทั้งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงภูมิปัญญาของกวีลาวในการรังสรรค์เรื่องที่มาจากสังคมอื่นให้เป็นวรรณคดีประจำชาติที่มีคุณค่าและความงามเฉพาะตัว

“Whoever Smells ‘Eueng’ Flowers Will Get Over His Sorrow”: Literary Beauty And Significance of the Descriptions of Nature in Innao, the Lao Panji Story

This paper aims to examine the literary beauty and significance of the descriptions of nature in Innao, the Lao Panji story. In Innao, a large number of the descriptions of nature are presented more outstandingly than those in the Thai Inao where the story of Innao is derived from. The study reveals that the descriptions of nature in Innao are presented and described artistically by playing with the sounds in words, depicting the variation of natural scenes, and using words of imagery and metaphor. In addition, the descriptions of nature in Innao contain great significance, namely the significance to help arousing the imagination of the audience, the significance to the continuity of the story, the significance to emphasize the characters’ emotion, the significance to the purpose of being sung or “Lum”, and the significance to colourize the Laos’s identity to the story. The beautiful and significant descriptions of nature become one of the prominent elements distinguishing Innao from the Thai Inao and other Panji stories as well as reflect the wisdom and ability of the Lao poet in transforming a foreign tale into a Lao literary work.
