การศึกษาเปรียบเทียบทัศนะและหลักปฏิบัติเรื่องพุทธสันติวิธีกับอารยะขัดขืนของชุมชนสันติอโศก

Abstract

บทความนี้เป็นการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบแนวคิดและหลักปฏิบัติของหลักพุทธสันติวิธีกับอารยะขัดขืนของชุมชนสันติอโศก ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้อธิบายเกี่ยวกับแนวคิดและหลักปฏิบัติของพุทธสันติวิธีของพระพุทธเจ้าในการแก้ไขปัญหาความขัดแย้ง และแนวคิดอารยะขัดขืนของชุมชนสันติอโศก

ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า หลักพุทธสันติวิธีกับแนวคิดอารยะขัดขืนของชุมชนสันติอโศกมีความสอดคล้องกัน และเป็นแนวทางหนึ่งของพุทธสันติวิธี ในฐานเป็นเครื่องมือในการดำเนินชีวิต แต่ยังไม่ใช่แนวทางของพุทธสันติวิธีที่สมบูรณ์ เนื่องจารกกระบวนการเรียกร้องและเป้าหมายของชุมชนสันติอโศกนั้นแตกต่างจากพุทธสันติวิธีที่มุ่งเรียกร้องโดยไม่ก่อความเดือดร้อนให้แก่ผู้อื่น และมีเป้าหมายเพื่อการปกป้องสถาบันศาสนา และเพื่อความสงบของสังคมโดยรวมอย่างแท้จริง แต่อย่างไรก็ตามแนวทางอารยะขัดขืนของชุมชนสันติอโศกถือได้ว่าเป็นแนวทางหนึ่งของสันติวิธีได้ในรูปแบบแนวทางในการเรียกร้องโดยปราศจากความรุนแรง

A Comparative Study of the Views and Practice of Buddhist Peaceful Means and Santi Asoke Community’s Civil Disobedience

This article is of the comparative study of the views and practice of Buddhist Peaceful Means and Santi Asoke Community’s civil disobedience. This article explains that the Buddhist Peaceful Means is the way that the teachings of Buddha is used to resolve conflicts and Santi Asoke Community’s civil disobedience is based on this concept of Buddhist doctrines.
The comparative goal of this study argues that the concepts of Santi Asoke’s civil disobedience are consistent with Buddhist Peaceful Means in terms of livelihood, but are not completely consistent with other variables within the concepts. The core purpose and process of the Santi Asoke Community’s civil disobedience differ from Buddhist Peaceful Means since the latter focuses on the process and not the cause of the conflict and aims to constitute a sustainable peace in order to protect religious institutions. However, Santi Asoke Community’s civil disobedience should also be regarded as a non-violent approach since it promotes protests without violence.
