Jaspers and Buddhism: The Perspective of Educational Ideas

Abstract

The present age signifies an age of humanism in need. Philosophical interest has shifted from the older interpretations of God, matter, and science to man. Man is dhamma being. With the dhamma he goes beyond and lives free from the illusive bondage of categorical ideologies and particular systems: philosophical, social, politicial, economic and educational. Universal brotherhood based on truth, righteousness, goodness, and peacefulness underlies the educational philosophy of dhammology is blooming above the fashions of so-called capitalism, socialism, and even democratic socialism. Without the application of dhamma to our situation it is impossible to achieve real excellences, achievements, welfare and well-being, happiness and universal peace in human society
