Abstract

            This sixth century B.C. wan an age of far-reaching religious reforming activity over the whole of Ancient World. This was a period of moral and social renaissance in China and the Age of the Sophists in Greece. There was a remarkable intellectual and religious ferment in India in this period. It was, as it were, an Age of Enlightenment for the human race. A number of spiritual thinkers are seen engaged in unfolding the nature of reality. The spiritual field in this way was very much highlighted by their thinking and the problems embracing all its aspects appear to be vigorously raised, discussed, analysed, and examined.
