Abstract
Most of the linguists believe that the Standard-Thai used nowadays in Thailand is a Tai dialect. The language of the Tai-Phake is also classified as a Tai dialect. So the study of the Tai-Phake dialect helps throw light on the Standard-That of Thailand.
