TEN PERFECTIONED BUDDIST LEADERSHIP FOR ORGANIZATION CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Leadership is essential for all organization leaders in both public and private sectors, especially in current situation of radical change from the impacts of organizational external and internal factors. In the process of managing change, there are different views from both support and resistant sides. The change leaders must be the special qualified persons who have the inner excellence or perfections which are called Paramis. Ten Perfectioned Buddhist Leadership is the application of Paramis or Ten Perfections which are the ways that Bodhisatta developed for achieving enlightenment. Ten Perfectioned Buddhist Leadership can be applied for 3 categories in leading process. 1. Self-leading with Silaparami (morality), Saccaparami (truthfulness), Nekkammaparami (renunciation) and Viriyaparami (effort) 2. People-leading with Danaparami (giving), Mettaparami (loving-kindness), and Upekkhaparami (equanimity) 3. Work-leading with Pannaparami (Wisdom), Khantiparami (endurance) and Adhittanaparami (self-determination)
