BUDDHIST INTEGRATION WELLNESS TOURISM MANAGEMENT

Abstract

In current situation of elder-age society and pollution are the causes that make people more concern of their health. Traveling to beautiful natural resources with good health-care become to the popular trend of wellness tourism. Tourism Industry is an important tool that can drive Thailand’s economy. The study found that there are average 1.2 million Foreign Patients per year access to wellness tourism service in Thailand. Estimated income from Wellness Tourism in 2017 is worth about 100,000 million Bath, which becoming more and more of the amount of tourist visitors to Thailand. Trends of the self-health care is widely spread though out. This is a good opportunity for Thailand to be the center of wellness-tourism in this region. Furthermore, Thailand has many competitive advantages for example Natural Tourism Resources, Medical Human Resources, Local Wisdom of Thai Traditional Medical Cares. The Buddhist Principle of Bhavana 4 or the 4 developments which are composed of 1) Physical Development, Moral Development, Emotional Development and Intellectual Development. All these Buddhist Principles made the balance of life, associated individual behavior and mindfulness to the natural environment and sustainable society.
