IMPLANTING BUDDHADHAMMA IN SEEDLINGS, THE YOUTHS, THE NATIONAL FUTURE
Abstract
Thailand has to develop the youths from the stage of seedlings, the national future to be the qualified adulthood. At present, technological advancement plays the important roles in our daily life. The youths, the seedlings, the new generation who enjoys learning can adapt themselves to the advancement fast. Educational system is also the important implanting system to implant the seedlings, the youths, the new generation, not only in classrooms but also from the outside world including life experiences of their own. The state agencies have to implant Buddhadhamma into the seedlings, the youths who are the new generations. They are apt to absorb good things such as national cultures. The principles of Dhamma should be contained in the courses for the subject of life experiences seriously and tortuously. They should have participated in activities outside of the classrooms at monasteries so that they would learn and absorb the dissemination from the monks. There should be charitable activities for monasteries so that they would have the real time to learn, to absorb and to work as a team. The youths should be assigned to participate in meritorious activities on the Buddhist days so that they would absorb the basic principles of Buddhism such as five precepts by abstaining from killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying and consuming intoxicated alcoholic beverages. Implanting all these good things to the youths will help the seedlings learn.
