PEOPLE’S POLITICAL SOCIALIZATION AFFECTING THE VOTES IN GENERAL ELECTION AT BAN THI DISTRICT, LAMPOON PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research were: 1. To study opinions, 2. To study the comparison levels of the opinions and 3. To propose the problem, obstacles and recommendation for political socialization affecting the knowledge of democratic system of the people who have rights to vote. Using Mixed Methods Research.

          Findings were as follows: 1) The levels of people’s political socialization, by overall, was at high level. Classified by sides, from high to low, the findings were that the political awareness was at high level, the political news follow-up was at middle level  = 3.56, S.D. = 0.66, the political participation was the middle level, the political attitude was at high level, respectively. 2) The comparison results were that people with different sex, age, education and occupation and income per month by overall, did not have different opinions on the people’s political socialization, rejecting the set hypothesis. 3) Problems and obstacles and recommendation for people’s political socialization were that: the political knowledge; the problem was the people received political knowledge and information from the government officers at less level. The solution was that there should be more channel for people to access the political information. Public relations should be more covered. The political news and information ware the problem that people did not access to the political information. should be more channel for political news and information. The political participation; the problem was people were still barred from political expression. The political attitude;
