Abstract

Objectives of this research were: 1. To study the level of factors, 2. To compare opinions on factors affecting, and 3. To study the Problems and recommendations on factors affecting people's political participation in democratic governance in Muang District, Chonburi Province. Methodology was the mixed methods: The quantitative research collected data with questionnaires from 400 samples from people in Muang District, Chonburi Province, Statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, The qualitative research collected data from 8 key informants by in-depth-interviewing, analyzed data by descriptive interpretation.

Findings of the research were as follows: 1. The level of factors affecting people's participation in democracy in Muang District, Chonburi province as a whole was moderate. There were different opinions. People with different genders and occupations had comments, 3. Problems, obstacles and suggestions about factors affecting people's participation in democracy in Muang District, Chonburi Province were that the problem was corruption, bribery and corruption in society, praising and supporting influential people, attachment to the individual The solution was to involve the public to monitor and monitor the work of politicians and high-ranking civil servants. Society should praise good people for their integrity, to perform their duties with fairness, to create awareness, and to provide people with truthful information. The state must scrutinize the news.
