THE BUDDHISM DISSEMINATION BY MORALITY TEACHING MONKS IN SCHOOLS

Abstract

This academic article aimed to study Buddhism dissemination with school morality teaching monks and study ways to develop mission potentials. The results showed that the morality teaching program in schools is in an incubation process. To convey the minds of youth who are growing up to know morality to be a good person, not a burden to society and able to make a contribution to society. The morality teachings have brought the principles of Buddhist teachings that have been studied and passed on to the youth as a practice in disseminating and guidelines for developing disseminating potentials. Morality teachings have two potentials: There is respectful speech and conduct. In the mental aspect, it consists of disseminating virtues and reliable teachings consisting of 3 qualities: Leadership that arises from knowledge, skills and a good attitude. There are Dharma principles and teaching materials that are modern, interesting and have the art of communicating, consisting of 4 s’s, namely, bright, motivating, brave, cheerful, which will make the dissemination of Buddhism more effective, and youngsters will be able to learn the Dharma until they can apply Dhamma in daily life.
