PROBLEMS, OBSTACLES, AND APPROACHES FOR CREATING POPPULARITY OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS IN THAILAND.

This article would like to study and analyze problems, obstacles, and approaches to creating popularity of professional sports in Thailand by presenting the popularity of professional sports abroad. The research study analyzed a case study of three countries, namely the United States, Japan, and Thailand by studying the value of the sports industry, for example, the number of viewers, and the income generated from watching professional sports, which was caused by the popularity of professional sports among people both inside and outside the country. Moreover, the research intended to study and analyze the popularity of professional sports in Thailand by analyzing and comparing problems and obstacles affecting the popularity of professional sports in Thailand as well as offering suggestions on how to build the popularity of professional sports in Thailand.
The results of the study revealed that problems, obstacles, and approaches to popularizing professional sports in Thailand were: 1) lack of systematic recruitment and development of athletes, moreover lack of incontinence of the athletes 2) Lack of development, analysis and determination of target sports at each level to make it clear. In addition, lack of support for strongly sports associations, good governance, including clear sports development plans of professional sports associations. 3) Lack of support for continually supporting national and international sporting events 4) Lack of development of infrastructure in terms of equipment, venues and facilities. to support the training of athletes and the public exercise.
