BUDDHIST INTEGRATION ENHANCING EFFECTIVENESS OF WASTE MANAGEMENT OF LAMPANG MUNICIPALITY

Abstract

This research article aimed to analyze management conditions, study the factors affecting and present an integrated Buddhist model promoting the effectiveness of waste management. The research was conducted with the mixed methods. The quantitative research used questionnaires to collect from 398 samples Data were analyzed using a social science package. The qualitative research, data were collected from 18 key informants and 9 participants in focus group discussion Data were analyzed by content descriptive interpretation.

The results of the research were as follows: 1. The effectiveness of waste management in Lampang Municipality was at the middle level. 2. Factors affecting the efficiency of waste management in Lampang Municipality was found that the principle of Itthipada 4 affected the efficiency of waste management of Lampang Municipality in 2 aspects, namely, the principle Itthipada 4 together predicted management effectiveness of the waste of Lampang Municipality, it was found that Chitta, attention to the work) and the discipline (contemplating reasons) and 3. The integrated Buddhist model promoted the effectiveness of waste management in Lampang City Municipality. by integrating 4 principles of Itthipada to support the creation of an integrated Buddhist model promoting management effectiveness. It was also the result that the Lampang Municipality could drive the strategy and implement the policies of the City Municipality better.
