RISK MANAGEMENT OF VILLAGE PUBLIC HEALTH VOLUNTEERS FROM WORK DURING THE CORONAVISUS 2019 OUTBREAK; A CASE STUDY IN SAMUT SAKHON

Abstract

The Objectives of this research was to study the risks and study the risk management of village health volunteers during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease 2019, a case study in Samut Sakhon Province. This was qualitative research by analyzing relevant documents and in-depth interviews from the Samut Sakhon Communicable Disease Committee and village health volunteers in Samut Sakhon Province. and analyze the data with content analysis.

 The results of the risk study revealed that there is a lack of strategic planning to deal with information that affects public confidence and cooperation. Defense equipment and budget are insufficient. Officers are elderly people who are classified as a risk group. Including the laxity of work because the public health volunteers do not have the power to order people to cooperate besides reporting the results to the hospital. personnel distribution of protective equipment and assigning a doctor at the National Health Service Hospital to be a consultant There is a remedy by increasing the risk allowance and aiding in case of death, disability or infection to village health volunteers who are affected by their work. The monitoring was based on the number of infected cases reported by health workers and the infected population in the community area through performance data recorded by village health volunteers in the health system.
