BUDDHADHAMMA INTEGARTION FOR IMPROVING THE PERSONNEL’S QUALITY OF LIFE IN CONSTUCTION BUSINESS IN BANGKOK METROPOLOS

Abstract

This research article aims to accomplish the following objectives 1) To study the quality of life of construction personnel in Bangkok, 2) To investigate the factors that affect the quality of life of construction personnel in Bangkok, and 3) To present the integration of Buddhist principles to enhance the quality of life of construction personnel in Bangkok. The research method employed in this study is an integrated approach combining both quantitative and qualitative research techniques. The study involved a population of 386 construction workers in Bangkok, with 18 key informants and 8 focus group experts selected as the sample. Data analysis included frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and content analysis.

The findings of the study are as follows 1) The quality of life of construction personnel in Bangkok was assessed across eight aspects, and all aspects were found to be at a high level. The aspect with the highest average score was the balance between work and personal life. 2) The management processes were identified as significant factors influencing  the quality of life of construction personnel in Bangkok. Specifically, improvements in planning and plan implementation were found to have a notable impact. And 3) The Four Ditthadhammakattapradee Principles were identified as influential in the development of the quality of life of construction personnel in Bangkok. These principles include good fellowship, friendliness (Kalyanamittata), perseverance (Utthanasampada), subsistence (Samajivita), and wealth preservation (Protection concessions).
