PROCESSES OF TEMPLES PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IN PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research were to analyze the general conditions and study the monastery property management process in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, conducted by the qualitative research. Data were collected by in-depth-interviewing 25 key informants, purposefully selected from experts. and from 9 participants in focus group discussion. Data were analyzed using content descriptivie interpretation.

The results showed that 1. The general condition of monsteries property management in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province was found that in terms of Strengths, monastery property management complied with the authority of the abbot as required by law. Weaknesses: Lack of personnel with knowledge and ability in various legal and accounting matters. Opportunities: Modern technology could help in managing monastery assets. Obstacles, influencers, and illegal exploitation were obstacles to onastery property management. 2. The process of monastery property management in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province consisted of Planning so that the abbot understood how to practice and act according to the ministerial regulations There was a plan for operations divided into plans according to duration, operational aspect. The abbot and the committee involved were working together. Inspection; It was inspected by the high ranking administrative monks and checked together between the abbot, monastery waden,Vaiya Wachakorn, and the people who came to make merit in the monasteries. On the correction side, continuous development of property management had been developed and improved to keep up with the current situation.
