BUDDHADHAMMA INTEGRATION FOR PROMOTING AFFECTING PEOPLE'S ELECTION IN PHATUM THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were as follows:  1. To study the generality of people's decisions for election in Phatum Thani Province, 2. To study the factors affecting people's decision for election in Phatum Thani Province, and 3. To study the guidelines of the Buddha-dhamma integration for promoting people's decision for election in Phatum Thani Province. The research was conducted using mixed research methods. The quantitative research data were collected from 400 samples using questionnaires and analysed using a statistical package. The quantitative data were collected from 18 key informants through a structured, in-depth interview and analysed using the content analysis technique.

The research findings revealed that: 1. The generality of people's decision for election in Phatum Thani Province was that the people valued the candidate’s qualifications with honesty and integrity. The policy: that policy arose from a true survey of the problems and needs of the people. An affiliated political party: there was a policy for the people. The candidates' communication abilities mean being knowledgeable, eloquent, creative, and understanding of the people. 2. The political communication in 3 aspects affecting the people's decision for election in Phatum Thani Province with statistically significant levels at .001 and .01, sorted by the following equations: sender, message, and channel were affecting the people's decision for election in Phatum Thani Province.  The seven Sappurisa dhamma in 4 aspects affected the people's decision for election in Phatum Thani Province with statistically significant levels at .001 and .05 sorted by the following equations: Mattannuta, the knowing of moderation, Parisannuta, the knowing of the populated communities, Kalannuta the knowing of time, and Atthannuta the knowing result, respectively. 3. Presentation formats of the Buddha-dhamma integration for promoting people's decision for election in Phatum Thani Province were found to know the needs of the people, the results of policy, duties, estimates in work and time, the community, and knowing the rights from political policies.
