Abstract

This dissertation aims to: 1. study the generality of political participation, 2. study the factors affecting political participation, and 3. She presented the guidelines for promoting the political participation of people’s local elections in Phatum Thani province by buddhadhamma integration. The research was conducted using a mixed method. The data were collected by questionnaire from 400 samples and analysed by statistical package. 18 critical informants collected the quantitative data through structured interviews, and the content analysis technique was studied.

The research findings revealed that: 1. General Conditions of Political Participation of the People in Voting in Local Elections in Pathum Thani Province What the people value is their constitutional rights and duties. Honest and fair elections and the participation of the people in political activities and elections. 2. The factors affecting political participation in people’s local elections found the following: 1. politics communication in 2 aspects are affecting the people's election in Phatum Thani province with statistics sorted by multiple coefficients is the political socialisation and the political information perception are affecting the people's election in Phatum Thani province. 2. Aparihaniyadhamma in 5 aspects are affecting the people's election in Phatum Thani province sorted by multiple coefficients is to hold regular and frequent meetings, to provide the rightful protection, to meet in harmony, to honour and respect the elders, and to introduce no revolutionary ordinance, are affecting the people's election in Phatum Thani province. 3. the guidelines for promoting the political participation of people’s local elections in Phatum Thani province by Buddha dhamma integration are unity, shared responsibility, compliance with the law, respecting the worthy person, equality and freedom, giving importance to the people, and supporting good, moral people.
