PROMOTING COMMUNITY COFFEE FARMING INCOME IN THE UPPER NORTHERN HIGHLANDS

Abstract

This academic article aimed to study the income generation of coffee farming communities in the Upper North Highlands and the promotion of income for coffee farming communities in the Upper Northern Highlands, and it conducted qualitative research. The sample includes coffee farmers of the Upper North Highlands communities. The results of the academic articles showed that earning from coffee farming in communities in the Upper Northern Highlands generated income. Coffee can be grown together with wild trees in the original rotational fields. Coffee can prevent landslides. A new coffee management system has been organized upstream, midstream, and downstream. There was a group of farmers until it became a group of enterprises in the upstream area. Entrepreneurial organizations were established in the form of community enterprises. In the midstream area, there was a processing point to control the quality of coffee shell production, and the downstream region generated income while taking care of the forest. The government has promoted coffee farming income for communities in the Upper North Highlands by shifting from opium-growing areas to growing coffee instead. A region's Royal Agricultural Research Center unit has become a knowledge support agency researching coffee strains to promote coffee cultivation. A large body of knowledge existed in the production of coffee. It can be encouraged and upgraded to be helpful to the community.
