Abstract

Objectives of the research article were: 1. To study the problems of teachers’ competency in using information technology for learning management in the 21^st century of private schools at Muang District, Phitsanulok Province 2. To study the level of teachers’ competency in using information technology for learning management in the 21^st century of private schools at Muang District, Phitsanulok Province, 3. To study the guidelines for developing teachers' competency in using information technology for learning management in the 21^st century of private schools at Muang District, Phitsanulok Province. The population of this study was 226 teachers at private schools in Muang District, Phitsanulok Province. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used in the data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results showed that 1. The problems of teachers’ competency in using information technology for learning management in the 21st century of private schools in Muang District, Phitsanulok Province, consisted of 1. Hardware and Software} and 2. Online learning and communication. It was found that the overall level was moderate. 2. The level of teachers' competency in using information technology for learning management in the 21st century of private schools at Muang District, Phitsanulok Province, consisted of 1. knowledge, 2. skills, and 3. characteristics. It was found, overall, to be at a high level. 3. The guidelines for developing teachers' competency in using information technology for learning management in the 21st century of private schools at Muang District, Phitsanulok Province, were as follows: 1. there should be training and development for teachers regarding the selection of tools, technology, and instructional design; 2. There should be supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the development of various information technology media that are used in teaching in order for students to have good learning; 3. Teachers' competencies should be developed to have a good attitude in creating innovations in the use of information technology for learning management in the 21^st century.
