PROMOTING LEADERSHIP ACCORDING TO THE DUTIYAPAPANIKATHAMMA FOR LOCAL POLITICIANS AT MUANG KONG MUNICIPALITY NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were: 1. To study the leadership level of local politicians. 2. To study the relationship between the leadership of local politicians and the principles of the Dutiyapapanikadhamma. 3. To present the promotion of leadership of local politicians at Mueang Khong Subdistrict Municipality, Nakhon Ratchasima Province according to the principles of the Dutiyapapanikadhamma. The research was conducted by mixed research methods. The quantitative research used questionnaires as a tool to collect data from 327 samples who voted at Mueang Kong Subdistrict Municipality, Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Statistics used in data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Test the hypothesis by using Pearson's correlation coefficient. The qualitative research data were collected by in-depth interviewing 10 key informants and were analyzed using descriptive content analysis.

The results of the research were found that: 1. Leadership level for local politicians at Mueang Khong Sub-District Municipality Nakhon Ratchasima Province was at a high-level with an average of 3.81, standard deviation at 0.28. The aspect with the highest average was the aspect of considering individuality with an average of 3.84, followed by the aspect of having strong influence, ideology with an average of 3.83 and the aspect with the lowest average was inspiration with an average of 3.73.  2. The relationship between leadership of local politicians and Dutiyapapanikadhamma: There was a low level of relationship (r=.0.381**) with a statistically significant level of 0.01. 3. Presentation of guidelines for promoting the leadership of local politicians according to Dutiyapapanikadhamma: 1. Cakkuma; the leader who had modern ideas, wanted to be up to date with the situation, and had far-sightedness, was well-versed and could keep up with the rapid changes occurring in world society. 2. Vidhuro, the leader, approached various problems with wisdom to solve various problems and let the community develop in a good way. 3. Nissayasampanno; the leader had good human relations by using communication with the people involved and perform work with an honest mind and honesty without seeking personal gain.
