Abstract

Many nations are confronting the phenomenon of ageing societies, characterized by longer life expectancies and an increasing proportion of old people. These demographic shifts have significant economic, societal, and cultural implications. This academic article explored the application of business anthropology to better understand different dimensions of the business sector in the context of population ageing. It posited that business anthropology may serve as an effective framework for analyzing business organizations in the context of ageing societies. The article focused on four key issues for older adults: 1. Human resource management; 2. A study of organizational employment cultures; 3. Cross-cultural job management; and 4. Understanding consumer behavior. This article highlighted the importance of integrating anthropological insights to benefit business organizations, promoting sustainable business development in alignment with the needs of ageing societies.
