BUDDHADHAMMA INTEGRATION FOR ADMINISTRATIVE EFFECTIVENESS ENHANCEMENT OF POLICE STATIONS IN PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA

Abstract

This article aimed: 1. To study the administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, 2. To investigate the factors affecting the administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, and 3. To present Buddhadhamma integration to enhance the administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. The research used mixed-method research. The Quantitative research collected data from 400 samples from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, using a questionnaire as a tool. Data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Qualitative research collected data through in-depth interviewing 21 key informants selected via purposive sampling, divided into 6 groups: The qualitative data were analyzed using descriptive content interpretation.

The research results revealed that 1. The overall administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province was at a high level. ( =3.79, S.D.=0.27), 2. Factors affecting the administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province include 1) the administration according to the four strategic aspects of the Royal Thai Police Office, which collectively predicted the administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province by 80.8% (Adjusted R2 = .808), and 2) Bala 4 which collectively predicted the administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province by 94.1% (Adjusted R² = .941), and 3. The integration of Buddhadhamma to enhance the administrative effectiveness of police stations in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province focused on applying the Pala 4, Four Powers,  as follows: the Paññā-bala, power of wisdom, which involved  administration with wisdom and insight; the Viriya-bala, power of effort, which involved administration with perseverance and diligence; Anavajja-bala, the power of faultlessness, which involved administration with honesty and righteousness; and Saṅgaha-bala, power of charity, , which involved administration with support and assistance.
