BUDDHIST INTEGRATION FOR PROMOTION OF POLITICAL LEADERSHIP TO EXECUTIVES OF LOCAL ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZATIONS IN NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

This research article had the following objectives: 1. To study the general state of political leadership among local administrative executives, 2. To examine the characteristics of political leadership among local administrative executives, 3. To present a Buddhist-integrated model of Tutiya Papanikadhamma for promoting political leadership among local administrative executives in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The key informants consisted of 26 individuals. The research tools included in-depth interviews, with data collected through the interview and analyzed using content descriptive interpretation. And presented in a descriptive analysis format.

The research results revealed the following 1. The general state of political leadership among local administrative executives in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province showed that there were: Strengths, such as close engagement with the public, a volunteer spirit, and a deep understanding of local systems. However, they lacked serious commitment to fulfilling their duties. Weakness: That was the lack of effective follow-up and evaluation. Opportunities: the opportunities arose when executives are fully engaged in their roles, enabling them to solve public issues and improve local development. Obstacles: Obstacles included a lack of resources and limited budgets. 2.The characteristics of political leadership among local administrative executives in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province showed that in terms of influence, the executives use their power correctly, creating trust among the public. Regarding task delegation, the executives set clear goals and adjust operational plans to instill confidence. In terms of flexibility, they display positive thinking and assign tasks according to the abilities of their personnel. Additionally, they exhibited motivational skills, continuously encouraging and supporting their staff. 3.Buddhist integration for promoting political leadership among local administrative executives revealed that the application of Tutiya Papanikadhamma involved the following: Cakkhumā; having a broad vision, which included foresight and working for the welfare of others over oneself. Vidūro being an expert, both in one’s own duties and in collective tasks. Nissayasampanno has good interpersonal relationships, which enabled effective collaboration with others.
