DEVELOPMENT OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE NETWORK OF MERIT-MAKING FUNDS FOR SICK MONKS IN CHANTHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

Objective of this research article were: 1. To study the general conditions of the management of the Merit-Making Fund Network for sick Monks in Chanthaburi Province, 2. To examine the success factors in managing the Merit-Making Fund Network for sick Monks and 3. To propose guidelines for developing the Merit-Making Fund Network for sick Monks management. The researcher employed qualitative research design, collected data through in-depth interviews with 25 key informants and 12 participants in focus group discussion. Data was analyzed using contextual content analysis techniques.

The research findings revealed that: 1. Key strengths included an efficient management network, knowledgeable and volunteer-minded committee members, continuous fundraising capabilities, and the application of information technology in management. Significant weaknesses were unclear internal network communication, budget and resource limitations, and the lack of a clear strategic plan. 2. Success factors in Merit-Making Fund Network for sick Monks management comprised four main elements: effective leadership, efficient group management, promotion of participation from all sectors, and comprehensive external support. These factors contributed to the network's strength and sustainability, enabling it to effectively meet the needs of sick monks. 3. Development guidelines for network management cover four main areas: finance, membership, internal processes, and learning and development. These focused on systematic budget management, increasing and developing membership, improving internal work processes, and promoting continuous learning and development. Implementing these guidelines would help enhance network management efficiency and result in higher quality.
