THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE IN BAN KAO SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, KANCHANABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research paper are 1. To study the economic development needs of the people in the Ban Kao Sub-District Administrative Organization. and 2. To recommend the economic development of the Ban Kao Sub-District Administrative Organization. Kanchanaburi Province Quantitative research was conducted with a sample of 375 people using a questionnaire as a tool to collect data and analyze the raw data results by using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing with frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The research findings revealed that: The overall economic development needs of the residents in the Ban Kao Subdistrict Administrative Organization were at a high level across all aspects, including basic needs, relational needs, and growth needs. Recommendations for the economic development of Ban Kao Subdistrict Administrative Organization were as follows: Basic Needs: The overall needs were rated at the highest level = 4.62, S.D. = 0.58). The highest-rated item was the need for the organization to create additional community trading spaces = 4.70, S.D. = 0.60). Relational Needs: The overall needs were rated at the highest level = 4.55, S.D. = 0.61). The highest-rated item was the need for the organization to allow residents to participate in planning the subdistrict’s economic development = 4.63, S.D. = 0.55). Growth Needs: The overall needs were rated at the highest level = 4.55, S.D. = 0.62). The highest-rated item was the need for the organization to monitor and evaluate economic activities to ensure further development and enhancement = 4.62, S.D. = 0.61).
