CREATING AWARENESS OF PEOPLE'S POLITICAL CULTURE IN DEMOCRACY IN THAI SOCIETY

Abstract

This article aims to study the development of political culture awareness among citizens in a democratic society in Thailand, emphasizing the importance of participation from all sectors of society. This involvement is not limited to government agencies but extends to families, educational institutions, and communities. Building political awareness is a process that requires the integration of formal, non-formal, and informal education to instill knowledge and understanding regarding the rights, duties, and roles of citizens. This study highlights the importance of fostering a political culture rooted in democratic principles, encouraging citizens to participate in peaceful and constructive political activities while developing critical thinking and analytical skills. The article underscores the necessity of providing opportunities for people at all levels to engage in political activities, fostering awareness of their power and role in shaping democracy. Citizen participation can be expressed through various activities such as voting, expressing opinions, and engaging in public hearings, all of which are crucial factors in promoting political stability. In conclusion, developing political culture awareness is a fundamental aspect of sustaining democracy. It requires collaboration between the state and civil society to ensure balance and long-term political stability.
