ADMINISTRATIVE INNOVATION TO DRIVE INTEGRATED BUDDHIST THAI TRADITIONAL MEDICINE OF NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCIAL PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICE

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were: 1. To study the administrative innovation for driving Thai traditional medicine of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office. 2. To study the factors affecting administrative innovation for driving Thai traditional medicine of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office. 3. To propose the administrative innovation for drivig integrated Buddhist Thai traditional medicine of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office, conducted by the mixed methods. The quantitative research, data were collected from 138 samples using 5 rating scale questionnaires with reliability value of 0.976. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regression. For the qualitative research, data were collected through in-depth interviewing 19 key informants and from 10 participants in focus group discussion, then analyzed usign descriptive interpretation.

Findings were as follows: 1. The overall of administrative innovation for driving Thai traditional medicine of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office was at high level. 2. The factors affecting administrative innovation for driving Thai traditional medicine of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office was found that the PDCA management process significantly affected the management innovation for driving Thai traditional medicine of the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Public Health Office in all aspects at the 0.01 significant level and could jointly predict by 59.7 percent of the variance. Vuuddhidhamma significantly affected at a level of 0.01 and collectively predict by 75.8 percent of the variance. 3. Innovations for driving Thai traditional medicine; in aspect of organizational restructuring, adjusting the organizational structure to meet service user’s needs. In aspect of developing human resource management; guidelines using technology to recruit quality personnel. In aspect of using digital technology, introducing digital technology into management processes. In aspect of agile management, encouraging personnel to proactively seek knowledge. In aspect of creating a culture of innovation, encouraging personnel to think creatively outside conventional boundaries.
