THE PROBLEMS OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN CRIME PREVENTION AND CONTROL IN PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

This academic article aims to study the problems of public participation in crime prevention and control in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The results have been founded that the problems of public participation in crime prevention and control in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province consist of 4 aspects: 1. Decision-making aspect: Most people do not participate in decision-making, expressing opinions, or determining or planning various projects in the area; 2. Implementation aspect: Most people do not participate directly in crime prevention in the area, they only participate in activities to help take care of the area; 3. Benefits aspect: Most people participate directly in crime prevention and suppression as a community; 4. Evaluation aspect: Most people do not participate in evaluation because they believe that evaluation is the responsibility of the responsible agency directly resulting in a lack of comprehensive cooperation from the local people.
