THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE COMPETENCY BASED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF SAPPURISADHAMMA AMONG PERSONNEL OF TONKHRAM SUBDISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, BANG PLA MA DISTRICT, SUPHAN BURI PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research entitled The Development of Administrative Competency Based on the Principles of Sapurisa-dhamma among the Personnel of Tonkram Sub-District Municipality, Bang Pla Ma District, Suphanburi Province were: To study the level of administrative competency of the personnel 2. To compare the competency based on personal factors; and 3. To propose development guidelines based on the principles of Sapurisa-dhamma. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative research, data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Least Significant Difference (LSD.). Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews.

The findings revealed that the overall administrative competency was at a high level. Teamwork showed the highest mean score, followed by planning, while strategic performance scored the lowest. In terms of personal factors, gender showed no statistically significant difference, whereas age, education, income, and occupation did. Development based on Sapurisa-dhamma as the guidelines to foster virtuous, knowledgeable, and community-oriented administration.
