Abstract

This academic article aimed to explain the concept of effective management of newly ordained monk training based on the Threefold Training (Tisikha), comprising Sila, morality, Samadhi, concentration, and Panna, wisdom. The study analyzed documents from the Tipitaka, commentaries, and other relevant documents and academic works on Buddhist management and education. The findings indicated that: 1. The Threefold Training, a set of Buddhist teachings, involves practices for self- transformation through mental training leading to wisdom and enlightenment. This framework can be systematically integrated into the newly ordained monk training process. Specifically, Sila, morality formed the basis for discipline and behavior; Samadhi, concentration developed mental stability and readiness for learning; and Panna, wisdom was the ultimate goal of training, aiming for true understanding. 2. Effective management of newly ordained monk training based entirely on the Threefold Training resulted in high-quality training for both trainees and the sustainable preservation of Buddhism. Newly ordained monk training is a fundamental process crucial for maintaining and perpetuating Buddhism, creating religious successors to foster Buddhist innovation among followers. 3. Integrating the Threefold Training into harmonious coexistence contributed to a happier society. Because Sila, morality builds trust, Samadhi, meditation fosters understanding, and Panna, wisdom leads to constructive coexistence, integrating these three aspects through practice leads to the development of a peaceful society.
