This academic article aims to analyze the application of the seven principles of Aparihaniyadhamma in strengthening Thailand’s democratic system within the context of contemporary challenges, namely structural inequality and a crisis of faith in the political system. These challenges are rooted in unequal access to resources and power, as well as the use of monopolized moral discourse to legitimize political authority, which affects public participation and undermines trust in political institutions. This study employs documentary analysis and the synthesis of theoretical concepts from political science and Buddhist studies to develop a conceptual framework explaining the relationship between structural problems, moral mechanisms, and democratic outcomes. The findings reveal that the seven principles of Aparihaniyadhamma can function as a structural ethical mechanism in developing democracy by linking key principles, including public participation through regular assemblies, consensus-building in society, adherence to the rule of law, respect for diversity and human dignity, as well as the protection of vulnerable groups and the promotion of ethical and accountable leadership. The knowledge derived from this study is synthesized into a Buddhist Integrated Democracy Strength Model, which consists of three main components: the foundation, emphasizing awareness of inequality and the crisis of faith; the driving mechanism, applying the seven principles of Aparihaniyadhamma as guidelines for political practice; and the outcome, aiming at the development of quality democracy, including proactive civic ethics, transparent and accountable use of power, and fairness in the coexistence of all groups in society.
