ประชาธิปไตย เสรีภาพสื่อและการคอร์รัปชัน: กรณีศึกษาประเทศอเมริกาใต้

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่กำหนดการคอร์รัปชันในกลุ่มประเทศอเมริกาใต้ การศึกษาใช้ข้อมูลรายปีระหว่างปี ค.ศ. 2005-2021 เพื่อบรรลุวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย ผู้ศึกษาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้วิธีแบบพาแนล ผลการศึกษาพบว่า แบบจำลองแบบ Random Effects มีความเหมาะสมมากกว่า สำหรับตัวแปรที่ส่งผลให้การคอร์รัปชันลดลงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ได้แก่ ประชาธิปไตย สัดส่วนประชากรอายุ 65 ปี ขึ้นไป เสรีภาพทางการค้า ผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศต่อหัว และการใช้จ่ายของรัฐด้านการทหาร ในขณะที่เสรีภาพสื่อไม่มีผลต่อการคอร์รัปชันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ
