The objectives of this research were to examine the relationship between the development strategies of local administrative organizations (LAOs) in Nakhon Si Thammarat province during 2560-2562 B.E. (2017-2019) and three other subjects: (1) strategies of other development plans at various levels, (2) existing problems in its provincial area, and (3) the local community’s potential. This research employed qualitative method where a collection of available LAOs’ development strategy documents and a specific in-depth interview were used for a research discussion. The data were analyzed through its classification in relationship comparison tables.
The research results were (1) positive relationship between development strategies of LAOs in Nakhon Si Thammarat province during 2560-2562 B.E. (2017-2019) and those of other development plans at various levels. The LAOs’ strategies could be used as a driving mechanism towards the higher-level development goals as set by other development plans, (2) positive relationship between the LAOs’ strategies and existing problems in its provincial area. The LAOs’ strategies were aligned with its goals to solve problems and to alleviate people’s suffering caused by its provincial policies, and (3) positive relationship between the LAOs’ strategies and the local communities of Nakhon Si Thammarat’s potential. The strategies were in line with the province’s attributes.
