Entrepreneurship Development of Community Enterprises in Nakhon Si Thammarat to Support AEC

Abstract

This research aims: 1) to study problems of community enterprises in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, 2) to study the needs of entrepreneurship development of community enterprises in the province, and 3) to prepare guidelines of entrepreneurship development for community enterprises in the province. Additionally, this research can be technologically transferred or academically serviced to community enterprises in the province, as well as support the AEC in the future. The population consists of two main groups: 1) 163 community enterprises in Nakhon Si Thammarat, and 2) twelve authorities from involved agencies including Nakhon Si Thammarat community development office (4 persons), Nakhon Si Thammarat industrial office (5 persons), and Nakhon Si Thammarat agricultural office
(3 persons). Descriptive data were statistically analysed with frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviations.The results were found that opinions of the entrepreneurs and the authorities on the problem issues were totally at a high level. Regarding four problem issues of the community enterprise operation, the highest issue was marketing (gif.latex?\mu=4.28), followed by capital (gif.latex?\mu=4.03), management (gif.latex?\mu=3.95), and production (gif.latex?\mu=3.91), respectively. With regard to the entrepreneurship development to support the AEC, the entrepreneurs’ need to be skilled up was at a high level. As for five problem issues of the entrepreneurship development, the highest level of the issues was the government policy and support (gif.latex?\mu=4.50), followed by the information consultant and advice to improve their business (gif.latex?\mu=4.39), the strategic management and marketing (gif.latex?\mu=4.30), the financial, accounting and investment (gif.latex?\mu=4.27), and the production management (gif.latex?\mu=3.98), respectively.  The results of the research on entrepreneurship development of community enterprises in Nakhon Si Thammarat province were followed. In the field of product development to meet the needs of the market, capacity development in the field of foreign market supply, product design and skill development in finance, as well as development competent personnel, enhance your skills at all times may need to be applied. Community corporate sponsors, these are government agencies provides basic information on how to assist entrepreneurs to meet real needs and timely with the operator's execution time as well as information on how to fix the problem and the prevention of business interruption for future business sustainability.
