การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อสุขภาพคนไทย

Abstract

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออธิบายความหมาย ผลกระทบ ปัญหามลพิษ และแนวทางการจัดการ เกี่ยวกับการจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อสุขภาพคนไทย จากหลากหลายมุมมองซึ่งสรุปได้ว่า การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อสุขภาพหมายถึงกระบวนการควบคุมและจัดการทรัพยากร ลดผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพ ผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อมต่อสุขภาพแบ่งได้เป็น 2 ประเภท คือ ผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อมในอดีต หรือแบบดั้งเดิม และผลกระทบในปัจจุบันหรือความทันสมัย ปัจจุบันปัญหามลพิษสิ่งแวดล้อมในประเทศไทยนับวันยิ่งมีแนวโน้มรุนแรงขึ้น และส่งผลกระทบทางสุขภาพ ทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมจึงเป็นแนวทางสำคัญในการแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ลดผลกระทบที่เกิดต่อสุขภาพให้น้อยลง ด้วยวิธีต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการใช้ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น การใช้เทคโนโลยีที่เหมาะสม การฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมด้วยมาตรการต่าง ๆ และการใช้วิถีการเมืองน่าอยู่ ทั้งนี้ต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือในทุกภาคส่วนเพื่อให้การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

Environmental Management for Health of Thai People

The purpose of this article is to describe definition, impact, pollution problem and trend of environmental management. It aimed at improving health of Thai people from a variety of perspectives. It could be concluded that environmental management for health is a process of controlling and managing resources that reduces health problems. Environmental impacts on human health could be divided into two types namely: traditional hazards and modern hazards. Currently, environmental problems in Thailand have increased and it has high tendency to affect the health of Thai people both directly and indirectly. Thus, environmental management is vital to reduce the problems in different ways such as through folk wisdom, application of appropriate technology, restoring and rehabilitating natural resources, enforcement of law and regulation related to environmental management and healthy urbanization. However, all these initiatives need co-operation from all sectors for effectiveness of the management.
