Way of Fisheries at Von-Napa Beach in Urban Context

Abstract
This research aims to study changing ways of life of Von-Napha Beach fisheries in urban context. This is a qualitative research study using document analysis, in-depth interview and non-participant observation from 11 Von-Napha Beach fishermen who fishing for more than 10 years and using purposive selection.
The results show that fisher folk on Von-Napha Beach had for a long time ago. This is Thai and Thai-Chinese community which fishing with small boat and using simple fishing equipment. Houses in community are small. After the coming of society development into Von-Napha Beach, the community had changed the way of life from fisher folk to the use of high technology fishing equipment because of much more income from fishing. They use motorboat for better fishing. Houses and community are bigger. Many outsiders immigrated; more tourists and students visited, and new buildings instead of coconut plantation are a current occurrence. It is the reason which way of the fisher folk of the Von-Napha communities have changed. From this study shows the cause of changing adaptation of fisher folk, the collaboration on community projects, community management, life and community improvement in order to live and using fisher folk with the change of Von-Napha Beach in an urban context.
