The Participation of the Officers of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization in the Election of the Board of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Saving and Credit Cooperative Limited

The purposes of this independent study were: 1) to study the levels of participation of the Officers of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization in the election of the Board of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited; 2) to study problems in participation of the Officers of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization in the election of the Board of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited; and 3) to present the ways of participation of the Officers of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization in the election of the Board of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited. This study used a mixed research method comprising of quantitative and qualitative method. The samples used in this study are consisted of 354 participants and 20 key informants. The research questionnaire and interview form are used as research instruments to collect data. Statistics used to analyze data consisted of Frequency, Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation. The research results showed that: 1) The levels of participation of the Officers of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization in the election of the Board of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited in four aspects, in total, were at moderate level ( = 3.27). In particular, each aspect can be ranked in order from higher average to lower as follows: Decision making had the highest mean value ( = 3.27), followed by benefit receiving ( = 3.49), whereas work operation had the least mean value ( = 2.71) respectively. 2) With regard to problems in participation of the Officers of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization in the election of the Board of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited, it is found that, in terms of decision making, the Officers of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization did not learn about information, background history and policy of the candidates, and exercise to vote for the candidates based on their own perception. With regard to work operation, there was a lack of public relations in inviting new generations of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization to participate in work operation of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited. There were no public relations about vision, mission, and goal in the operation of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization. With regard to benefit receiving, the Officers of Government Pharmaceutical Organization usually paid attention to returned benefits such as a number of dividends, high deposit interest, high average return, and low interest. With regards to evaluation, the Officers of Government Pharmaceutical Organization had no evaluation in work operation of the Board of Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited.
3) The ways to participate in the election of the Board of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited are as follows: With regard to decision making, there should be a campaign to support the Officers of Government Pharmaceutical Organization who are members of the cooperative to exercise in voting. With regard to work operation, there should be campaign, public relations and invitation of new generations to participate in work operation of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization. With regard to benefit receiving, there should be policies to increase dividends and fast services. With regard to evaluation, there should be opportunities for the Officers of Government Pharmaceutical Organization to express ideas in work operation and in policy setting.
