Abstract

The Creating Awareness of Digital quotient with Semiology on short film to the Freshmen students of Communication Arts, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University  is an integrating research with teaching. The objective is Creating Awareness of Digital Quotient with Semiology on short film to the Freshmen students of Communication Arts, Pibulsongkram

The research methodology is sampled  60 students evaluate their own behaviors by digital quotient activities, then use the evaluation result to make a short movie with semiotics of digital quotient according to the result of the self-evaluation. After that, set up a movie watching activity with other sampled students to evaluate the awareness of digital quotient.

The results of activity watching short film with semiotics of digital quutients are the stimulation to understand analytical thinking of the messages in the digital world at the highest level of 4.52. The understanding of traces left in digital world is at great level of 4.51. After watching the campaign media, cautions in using media and self-stimulation of using media with care have risen to the highest level of 4.53. The symbols that interest the students the most are lights, shadows, and the effects of violence from online living behaviors without awareness of digital quotient
