Abstract

The research of Strategic Development of Healing Environmental Management in Cancer Specialized Hospital under The Department of Medical Services in Eastern Economic Corridor was qualitative research with the objectives of 1) to study the situation of healing environmental management, 2) to formulate strategies, and 3) to study the propulsion of the strategic development of healing environmental management in cancer specialized hospital under the Department of Medical Services in Eastern Economic Corridor. It was found that 1) the situation of healing environmental management composed of 4 aspects (1) Inner environment within the patients’ mind of which the hospital has laid the policy for patients in the form of Palliative Care and to look after the final stage to pass away peacefully (2) the environment between persons, to have friendly service with service mind and take care closely such as to visit patients to follow up the case and to lend necessary medical equipment for utilizing at home and self-health group activity (3) behavioral environment to emphasize the changing of patients’ behavior such as exercising, physical therapy and nutrition, and (4) external environment, to have clean and beautiful landscape with natural materials, infection control and safety evaluation.  From the 4 aspects, the obstacles were the limitation of insufficient space for relaxing, the clear answers to questions, the expensive non-toxic nutrition and lack of food producers within the area.  2) on the strategies formulation aspect, (1) the building and environmental development to have the entire beautiful, modern and energy saving building (2) human resources development, to have knowledge and participation in developing services system and service behavior (3) to have patients’ relatives participation in looking after the patients (4) to develop information technology to facilitate patients using digital registration and data recording process. 3) the propulsion of the strategic development, it was necessary to have budget plan, human resources development plan, operation plan, impact and communication plan to drive the strategies and to follow up the evaluation, to identify the methods of receiving feedback information for further improvement and correction with the opportunity to review strategies within the defined cycle.
