The purposes of this study were to study and compare the Desirable Characteristics of teachers in the Regional Special Education Central, network group 7, under the office of Special Education Administration classified by gender, education levels, and working experience at the current position. A group of sample was 234 teachers, acquired by stratified random sampling method. The tool used in this study was a five rating scale questionnaire that divided into two parts. First part was about general information of respondents. Second part was about the Desirable Characteristics of special education teachers consisted of 7 aspects 75 items. The statistics used in this study was the Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation. The results of the study were as follows. 1. A study of the Desirable Characteristics of Teachers in the Regional Special Education Center, network group 7, under the office of Special Education Administration. There is very average in all seven aspects: Morality and ethics (= 4.32), Human Relations to parents (= 4.31), Success in joint study (= 4.29), Teaching (= 4.28), Academic (= 4.27), Personality and Emotion (= 4.25), and Special Education knowledge. (= 3.95). 2. A comparison of the Desirable Characteristics of Teachers in the Regional Special Education Center, network group 7, under the office of Special Education Administration. Classify by gender, education levels, and current work experience. To discover that Special Education teachers, both sexes, who have current work experience at the current position are no different from the characteristics desired by others. There was statistically significant at 0.05 level. For Special Education teachers who has different education levels. There are desirable characteristics that are different statistically significant at 0.05 level.
