FACTORS RELATING TO BEHAVIOR IN USING HERBS FOR SELF HEALTH CARE OF PEOPLE IN MUENG DISTRICT, LAMPANG PROVINCE

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the behavior in using herb for self-health care of people in Mueang District, Lampang Province 2) to study factors relating to behavior in using herb for self-health care of people in Mueang District, Lampang Province. The research was a survey research. The study uses samples from 400 respondents in conducting the study. The research tool used was a questionnaire. The statistics used are percentage, average and standard deviation by using one way anova analysis and Pearson’s product moment correlation. The results of the study showed that the behavior in using herb for self-health care of people was at a high level. Age, income, sex and education had no relationship with the behavior in using herb for self-health care of people with statistically significant at (p-value). > 0.05). The correlation coefficient of attitude towards using herb and the convenience in acquiring herbs does not affect the behavior in using herbs to treat diseases and have no relationship. The correlation coefficient between variables was .009 -. 105. Attitude towards using herbs affect the behavior of using herbs to treat diseases at the significantly level of 0.05 describes that towards using herbs. And the convenience in acquiring herbs that affects the behavior of using herbs to treat diseases at the percentage of 1.10 (R2=.011)
