THE ORGANIZING PROCESS OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES IN MULTICULTURAL SCHOOLS IN PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA

The objectives of this study were to 1) Study the level of communities’ desire for participation in the organizing of student activities in multicultural schools. 2) Study the process of organizing community-engaged activities by multicultural schools. The methodology of this research is separated into two parts. Part 1, study the levels of communities’ desire for engagement in school activities. The sample group consists of 310 representatives from communities around multicultural schools, all of whom were chosen randomly through multiple steps process. The tools used in this step were questionnaires. Statistics tools used in this process are percentage, mean values, and standard deviation. Part 2, study the process of organizing community-engaged student activities. Subjects include 30 Directors, Deputy Directors, or heads of 4 departments in multicultural schools. All of whom were specifically selected for this process. The tools used in this part were questionnaires. Statistics tools used in this process are mean values and standard deviation. The result of this research found that 1) the overall communities’ level of desire to participate in the organizing of student activities is ‘highest’. When separated into different areas, the indicator suggests that communities are most interested in ‘Benefit-sharing’, and least interested in ‘planning'. 2) The organizing process of student activities in multicultural schools is reasonable and possible. The process could be separated into four categories and 30 items.
