Effects of High/Scope Creative Art Activities on Practical skills in Executive Functions of Kindergarteners

The aims of this research were (1) to compare the average scores of practical skills in executive functions of kindergarteners before and after participating in High/ Scope creative art activities, (2) to compare practical skills in executive functions of kindergarteners after participating in High/Scope creative art activities with the 70-percent standard, and (3) to evaluate the development practical skills in executive functions of kindergarteners after participating in High/ Scope creative art activities. The samples used in this research included 22 Kindergarten 1 students of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Demonstration School. The duration consumed for data collection was 10 weeks. The tools used in this research included an activity plan and an observation form. The one-group posttest-only design was applied to this research. The data were analyzed by using the mean, standard deviation, growth score, and independent sample t-test. The results showed that (1) the kindergarteners had greater practical skills in executive functions at a significant level of .05 after the experiment, (2) the kindergarteners had greater practical skills in executive functions than the 70-percent standard at a significant level of .05 after the experiment, and (3) the kindergarteners attending High/ Scope creative art activities had very high overall growth scores of practical skills in executive functions after the experiment.
