Abstract

The purpose of this descriptive study was to explore and compare the moral competence in students’ nursing practice of Boromarajonani College of Nursing,Trang. Methods: The sample was 360 1st – 4th nursing students in Boromarajonani College of Nursing,Trang on 2020 Academic Year. Data was collected via Moral Competence Scale in nursing practice developed by Pantip  Jormsri (2005) which reliability was .92. Data were analyzed using the average, standard deviation and one-way analysis of variance. Results showed that 1) All the components of moral competence in nursing practice of nursing students were also in good to very good levels (3.76≤  ≥4.36) and total average of each grade was in good level (4.05≤  ≥4.16). Each components was considered and showed that the respect for human values, dignity and rights and the desire patient to be happy based on the recognition of the needs and condition of the patient was in very good level (4.27≤  ≥4.36, 4.25≤  ≥4.34, respectively). The other hand, admitting their mistakes, Attendees are encouraged to make responsible and proud to admit their mistakes and appreciate colleagues to do the right act (3.76≤  ≥3.84, 3.91≤  ≥3.95, respectively). 2) There was no significant difference between the level of moral competence in nursing practice among 1st – 4th nursing students with F – test.
