The Development of Teacher Training Materials based on Thai-Integrated STEM Education Activities

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop a teacher training package on STEM education integrated in Thai language 2) to study the quality of the training package on STEM education integrated in Thai language. The populations used in this research were Thai language teachers, mathematics teachers, science teachers, and computer or technology teachers in primary and secondary levels. The samples used in this research were 32 volunteer teachers from primary and secondary departments in Demonstration School of Ramkhamhaeng University. The data were analysed by mean, standard deviation, and t-test.  The results of the research were 1) The teacher training package on STEM Education activities integrated in Thai language developed consist of explanations, elements, qualifications of the participants, training methods, schedule, courses, training plans, media, and assessment 2) The results of the quality assessment of the training package found that the participants had learning achievement and ability to design an STEM education integrated Thai language activity after training which is higher than their performance prior to training that was statistically significant at the .05 level and the teacher's satisfaction toward the teacher training package was at the highest level.
