Group Counseling Psychology on the Management of Thoughts, Emotions and Behaviors of People Affected by the Outbreak of the COVID-19 Virus

Abstract

Research study on Effects of group psychological counseling on the management of thoughts, emotions and behaviors of people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to study the level of thought, emotion and behavior management, a group counseling model and the results of group counseling of people in the community. The research instruments were thought, emotion, and behavior management questionnaire, the confidence value was 0.87, the number of respondents in Doi Ngam sub-district population was 350 people, and the sample group had a low, medium, and low score on thought, emotion, and behavior management. Voluntarily, 14 people. The results of a study on the level of thought, emotion, and behavior management about the COVID-19 outbreak. Of people in the community, it was found that the population who answered the questionnaire of 350 people overall was at a moderate level (𝑥̅ = 3.40, S.D. = 0.03). = 3.57, S.D. = 0.20), followed by thought management at a moderate level (𝑥̅ = 3.35, S.D. = 0.25) and behavior management at a moderate level (𝑥̅ = 3.29, S.D. = 0.25), respectively. A group counseling model on the management of thoughts, emotions and behaviors affected by the COVID-19 outbreak situation. The form of group psychology counseling consists of 5 steps: 1. Relationship building 2. Problem survey 3. Understanding the problem 4. Planning to solve the problem 5. Termination of counseling. The time spent on counseling was 8 times, 45 minutes each time, 1 hour. After the sample group participated in more group counseling, it was equal to 𝑥̅ = group form.
